About me
I recently retired as the Director of the Standards and Instructional Supports Office at the Nevada Department of Education (NDE). Prior to this position I worked as the director of the Northwest Regional Professional Development Program in Nevada. Preceding my return to the NDE, I was the Nevada state math consultant for grades K – 12, a principal at a K – 8 school, and a mathematics/science teacher for over 15 years, mainly in the middle school grades. Most of my current time is spent on research and development around mathematics; connecting this world with people with aphasia to better support our community. I am currently teaching as a Lecturer on Assignment for the University of Nevada, Reno for the College of Education. My other areas of interest include marathon distance open water swimming and supporting our son’s new business.
