About me
Scott Hampton is currently serving as the curriculum coordinator for the Antelope Valley Union High School district. Mr. Hampton has served as the president of the Antelope Valley Mathematics Council for 7 years, served as Secretary for the California Mathematics Council Southern Region, and is the Vice President of the Antelope Valley East Kern Stem Network. Mr. Hampton has started both an annual STEM Expo and a local mathematics conference with speakers from NASA, the Air Force Research Lab, and the California Cadet Corps, among others. Mr. Hampton has been in education for 15 years and taught mathematics at high school, California State University and served as a reader for AP Statistics. He has a BS in Applied Mathematics, an MS in Mathematics, and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Industrial Psychology. In addition to his educational experience, Mr. Hampton has over 20 years of management experience in the private and public sector managing teams as small as 5 to teams over 100 people. Mr. Hampton has a passion for improving achievement for all students, and reforming both curriculum and instruction in mathematics.
